Join a global leader and make a real difference to animal health!

Are you a passionate veterinarian looking for an opportunity to utilise your knowledge and skills outside of the typical clinic environment?

An exciting opportunity is available to leave the stress of general practice behind, and be part of our friendly, high performing team of researchers and veterinarians. Elanco is actively seeking a dynamic, dedicated and experienced clinical veterinarian to provide hands on veterinary expertise and technical skill within our team.

The Opportunity:

The Site Veterinarian is the key team member, working with a dedicated veterinary nurse and a team of animal carers, to provide direct veterinary oversight and care for our farm and companion animals. The site is serviced by a dedicated veterinary services facility with all the resources and equipment to support you in your role.

You will be involved in overseeing animal health and veterinary care programs, performing veterinary and surgical procedures for daily care, supporting animal management programs, providing training of technical skills, and ensuring compliance, biosecurity and our high standards of animal welfare.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced veterinarian to fill a permanent on-going full-time position.

About you:

  • DVM or equivalent degree and current registration (or eligibility for registration) as a veterinary practitioner in NSW.
  • 3+ years of clinical experience with demonstrable skills in companion animal and livestock medicine (experience in both is an advantage but companion animal experience is essential).
  • Experience in, or an interest in learning more about, research environments.
  • Proven ability to coach and mentor others.

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Strong commitment to animal welfare with a proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement in animal care and welfare practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
