About the role
We're looking for a veterinarian who is as passionate about providing veterinary care as we are, to join our growing team at the Cameron Veterinary Services in Gawler East. Whether you're an experienced vet or a confident new grad, this is your chance to work in a friendly, supportive and flexible clinic where work-life balance is more than just a buzzword!
About Us: Cameron Veterinary Services has been owned and operated by Dr Lachlan Cameron since March 2020. Starting as a mobile service, caring for predominately large animals, the clinic has expanded to a purpose built site catering for small animals at both our Gawler East and Mt Pleasant sites. We are a flexible, family orientated clinic with a close-knit team!
We work hard to deliver exceptional, personalised care and just as hard to make sure our team enjoys coming to work. That means no after-hours, regular team huddles (with lunch on us!), and a genuine focus on supporting one another.
The Clinic: Our Gawler East clinic has three consult rooms, separate surgical theatre and sterile preparation area, separate dog and cat wards, imaging room and offices. Our Mt Pleasant site offers consultation rooms and services the local community, with surgeries being performed at our Gawler East clinic.
Some of the facilities we have available include:
- DR Radiography
- Ultrasound
- Separate sterile prep, surgery and treatment area
- iM3 dental equipment – we are passionate about dentistry!
- Grooming facilities
- EzyVet practice software, Vet Radar

- Team Orientated - looking to help be part of an expanding team. We are looking to expand the team over the coming years, so someone who is keen to be a team member and a leader helping to grow the clinic.
- Flexibility - be flexible! We want to be flexible with you and the hours you want to work. The standard of working full time, 5 days a week is outdated. We want to roster a system that works for you!
- Be Passionate! – we want you to be passionate about your work, be part of an expanding team, and help to develop the clinic you want to work in! That means being involved in
- Developing protocols both HR and clinical that you are proud of
- Respond to the environment you live in, and want to make a change – change the veterinary stigma and create a place you are proud to work in
- Be open to discussing your passions, your interests and striving to achieve them! Whilst also helping others to do similarly.
