Brighton Vet Hospital a boutique small animal business seeks an experienced vet to lead a small team. Business has been operating for 40+ years and has a loyal clientele. This is a non-corporate practice in the heart of Melbourne's Bayside affluent suburbs, ripe for the right person to come along and grow the client base and potentially buy-in. All of the surrounding businesses have 2-3 vets and we have 1.5 vets but are growing. Ideally suits an experienced self-motivated practitioner who is happy working in small teams and likes an inner-city lifestyle. Real estate is owned by the business owner. Beach Boxes nautical themed fitout (see website) with excellent expansion capability and permit for 5 vets.

Facility:

New premises with on-site client and staff parking spaces, fun entrance / waiting room, large treatment area with two treatment tables (wet & dry) and three patient accommodation zones, large theatre, cattery, quiet Dr Station / vet office, DR x-ray, IDEXX lab. See attached floorplan.

Clientele:

Staff:

Currently we have three part time support vets and three FT nurses who cover reception, hospital and surgery.

Applicant:

We are seeking to recruit a lead FT vet who wants equity. Skills in ultrasound and surgery desirable. Successful applicant required to work solo without support from other vets and capable of leading a team.

Remuneration:

Can be a fixed salary of $150-200K depending on experience or a lower base plus profit share with buy-in opportunities within a short time frame Additional profit share $35-75K/yr. Additional income available if vet able to offer after hours services.
