Job Description
Our RSPCA NSW Sydney Veterinary Hospital is looking for an experienced Veterinarian to join our hospital team. Reporting to the Managing Veterinarian, you will be responsible for ensuring that a high standard of animal care and customer service is provided to our wonderful owners.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinarian to explore opportunities in shelter medicine and animal welfare, while still enjoying the hustle and bustle of a busy small animal practice in Yagoona.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals New South Wales (RSPCA NSW) is a not-for-profit animal welfare organisation. We provide a strong voice for animals experiencing cruelty and neglect. About the Role
- Conducting consultations with private patients in relation to general veterinary services
- Undertake surgical procedures of both private cases and shelter cases
- Provide support to prospective animal adopters and RSPCA NSW Foster Carers
- Provide veterinary services to animals which are subject to cruelty allegations
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and staff members from various departments
- Assist with RSPCA programs when required, including vaccination and desexing programs
- Provide advice and guidance on a wide range of animal welfare matters to members of the public
About You
- Tertiary qualifications as Veterinary Surgeon, recognised by the Australasian Veterinary Boards Council, essential
- Minimum 4 years working experience
- Registration with the Veterinary Practitioners Board of NSW
- Highly developed organisational and time management skills
- Strong work ethic and the ability to be flexible and cope with change
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
- Have a strong passion for upholding good animal welfare
