The Animal Referral Hospital in Homebush is seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and compassionate veterinarians to join our small animal surgery internship program.
The Animal Referral Hospital Homebush has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and professional individual to work and learn in a busy but supportive specialist referral and emergency hospital on an internship for 12-18 months. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain the skills and experience to progress on to a residency and specialisation.

Your Journey with Us
As a Small Animal Surgery Intern, you'll be at the forefront of transforming the lives of our furry friends. Under the guidance of our specialist veterinary surgeons, you'll:
- Scrub In: Join our surgical dream team in the operating theatre, where you'll observe, assist, and even perform minor surgeries, mastering the art of precision.
- Classroom Beyond: Attend enlightening seminars, workshops, and case discussions that broaden your understanding of veterinary medicine.
- Collaborate & Connect: Work alongside a diverse group of professionals as well as build your network with the other interns within our company
Qualifications
We're seeking candidates who embody our core values of compassion, dedication, and a genuine love for animals. Here are the prerequisites for applying:
- Eligible for Veterinary registration in NSW
- Ideally 1 year of clinical experience or a strong knowledge base on which to build.
- Demonstrated passion for small animal veterinary medicine
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Eagerness to learn and a growth mindset
