The Animal Referral Hospital Homebush has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and professional individual to work and learn in a busy but supportive specialist referral and emergency hospital on an internship for 12-18 months. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain the skills and experience to progress on to a residency and specialisation.

Your Journey with Us

As a Small Animal Surgery Intern, you'll be at the forefront of transforming the lives of our furry friends. Under the guidance of our specialist veterinary surgeons, you'll:

• Scrub In: Join our surgical dream team in the operating theatre, where you'll observe, assist, and even perform minor surgeries, mastering the art of precision.
• Classroom Beyond: Attend enlightening seminars, workshops, and case discussions that broaden your understanding of veterinary medicine.
• Collaborate & Connect: Work alongside a diverse group of professionals as well as build your network with the other interns within our company

Qualifications

We're seeking candidates who embody our core values of compassion, dedication, and a genuine love for animals. Here are the prerequisites for applying:

• Eligible for Veterinary registration in NSW
• Ideally 1 year of clinical experience or a strong knowledge base on which to build.
• Demonstrated passion for small animal veterinary medicine
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
• Eagerness to learn and a growth mindset
