Seeking a Full-time or part-time veterinarian

We are an independently owned, well-established 2.5 vet small animal practice located in Strathmore, VIC that’s recently come under new management. Due to growing client demand, a position has become available for a full- or part-time veterinarian. This position is available from late Aug/September 2025. Interested candidates are welcome to do a few paid shifts to see if we are a good fit.

About us:

• Well-established small animal clinic with a loyal client base who trust our team to provide the best advice for their pets
• Hours of operation: Mon-Fri 9am-7pm & Sat 9am-2pm
• Well-equipped, modern practice with 3 consulting rooms, DR radiography, DR dental radiography, IM3 dental suite, electrocautery, ultrasound, bair huggers, in-house bloods, Tonovet, Doppler etc. PMS is Ezyvet
• We have a medical consultant who visits almost weekly for imaging services and to provide case advice
• Close proximity to AVC and ARH referral services
• Skilled and dedicated nursing team who perform nurse consults, take bloods, place IVs, assist with imaging
• Located along Napier St with several cafes & bakeries down the street, and close to the Calder and Tullamarine Fwys; plenty of free all-day street parking nearby for staff

About the role:

• Would suit a vet with minimum 3 years’ clinical experience
• Would suit someone who enjoys routine surgeries (mostly desexings, lumpectomies & dentals; no orthopaedics) and comfortable at managing medical cases
• Collaborative, friendly team who are happy to help each other with cases
• Very minimal sole charge, most days there are 2-3 vets rostered on
• Dedicated, easy-to-get-along owners (one is a vet and one is the practice manager) who are the practice most of the time and will try to accommodate individual needs as required
• Generous salary, minimum 130K for FT or PT pro-rata equivalent, negotiable depending on experience
• No overtime required but on the rare occasion this occurs, overtime is paid
• FT role would require every second Saturday with a consistent weekday RDO each week
• 1 week paid study leave and generous annual CPD allowance
