Experienced small animal veterinarian – Melbourne (Full-time or Part-time)

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced veterinarian has become available at our clinic.

The position presents an outstanding opportunity to further your skills in a range of disciplines by working and learning within our friendly, supportive, and well-established team of 10 veterinarians and a team of excellent support staff. Wyndham Veterinary Clinic is a large, privately-owned, exceptionally well-equipped small animal practice.

We have a high and varied caseload providing the ideal opportunity to further develop clinical, surgical and diagnostic skills. Many of our veterinary surgeons have advanced skills and our facility has the diagnostic equipment to work up cases extensively. This opportunity is extremely rare in private primary care practice in Australia. We have a specialist in small animal reproduction and have visiting surgical and medicine specialists available.

Continuing education and special interests are strongly encouraged. We provide access to VIN, BSAVA resources, Plumb's, Sydney University CVE hub as well as an annual continuing education allowance. There are no sole charge or on-call shifts required.

We have a high nurse to vet ratio, a supportive and efficient team and an extensive range of diagnostic equipment including digital radiography, full in-house pathology suite, high-end ultrasound machine, endoscopy, laparoscopy, CT scanner, dental suites, six consulting rooms and three operating theatres.

Our ideal candidate would be one that thrives in a busy small animal practice and works collaboratively with our existing veterinary team.

Our practice is located in Werribee, a short distance from the bustling Melbourne CBD as well as beautiful beaches of the Bellarine Peninsula and Great Ocean Road. The location offers affordable housing, is close to public transport and is family friendly.

Salary and hours are negotiable. We offer an excellent base salary package plus a guaranteed percentage of the revenue you earn to ensure pay fairness.
