Wayville Animal Hospital

Wayville, Adelaide Full-Time Posted 15 hours ago

Job Description

Permanent Full-Time preferred

Being the Change that the world needs

Passionate is Pets and their People’s first value.

We believe in the ‘Why’ of what we do and this motivates us to do our best.

And to provide the kind of workplace that supports both personal and professional fulfilment is part of our ‘Why’.

Pets and their People is a privately owned company that has 2 busy ASAV accredited hospitals and one surgery in central Adelaide.

Being ASAV accredited, we have developed and are held to high standards. The benefits of this to you are that all the processes have been done and you can get on with doing what you love. We have all the fun toys to help you do this seamlessly, including a new digital x ray system, ultrasound machines, dental radiographs, cautery units and the best software system in our opinion, Rx Works, which makes templating procedures and consults super efficient.

We have a vast degree of combined experience and expertise between the 3 sites, allowing us to cater to your individual interests, with vets proficient in high end dentistry, pain management, and animal behaviour to name a few. Permanent Full-Time preferred but consideration may be given for part-time (permanent or casual) for the right applicant. We offer an annual allocation and paid study leave for vets on 19hrs+/week, with arrangements via negotiation for those on part-time hours below 19hrs/week

If surgery or orthopaedics is your area of passion or something that you would like to move into, we have a full orthopaedic range of equipment with 2 very experienced surgeons who are only too happy to walk you through the process and supervise on as many as you need.

We also have something pretty exciting for the Internal Medicine crew. You will be delighted to know that we have a Registrar in Small Animal Medicine who frequents our group of clinics for consultations once a week (and sometimes more). He is super approachable and only too happy to mentor in this field and to provide exposure to cardiology, endoscopy and ultrasonography.

You will have an amazing support system surrounding you, with a 2-1 ratio of vets to support staff. Our nurses are either cert 4 qualified, vet tech, in training or vet students and we have specialised reception staff. A clinical director who is also an amazing vet, will walk you through your induction and will check in with you regularly for any challenges that you may be facing.

We are one of only a handful of Employers across the whole of Australia to hold dual AVA and Lincoln Institute Employer of Choice Accreditation. Providing a workplace where you can thrive has always been a passion of Vron and Al’s and we believe what sets us apart is our continual efforts to provide personal development to you which ultimately helps you professionally.

With access to a number of Lincoln Institute programs (Emerging Leaders and Leading Edge), we hope to provide you with the skills that not only makes work and consulting easier but life in general.

In recognition of the challenges that this industry faces, we provide access to a tailored Employee Assistance Program which we regularly touch on to ensure everyone is utilising it as best as possible.

We are looking for a qualified veterinarian, ideally with a minimum of 2 years experience, who is passionate about providing an outstanding service to patients and their humans. We are looking for someone who is keen to contribute to a great team environment and always working towards doing their best. Remuneration is commensurate with experience, with adjustment based on regular reviews.

Sounds like we might be a good fit? Or just want to find out more?
