Company Description
Greencross Teneriffe are looking for a Vet Director to lead our tight knit team of vets and nurses from our newly renovated clinic. Come for a tour here!
You will lead alongside our practice manager, a dedicated veterinary professional who transitioned from hands-on nursing to practice management. With a degree in veterinary technology and extensive experience in mentoring, lecturing, and training, she is passionate about mentoring and developing the next generation of vet nurses.
As Vet Director, you will provide clinical support, guidance and mentoring to our wonderful associate vets. Our aim is to provide a supportive and collaborative work environment. We pride ourselves on giving our vets autonomy in their decisions, and we have skilled nurses who will consult with you.
We embrace continued learning with regular training sessions and vet rounds. We also embrace open communication and feedback.
We frequently see behaviour clients and we are all passionate about fear free practice. Our patients deserve the best so we work closely with our roving dental and internal medicine specialists.
Located in a high socio-economic area, you will enjoy working with great clients whose pets are family. This is reflected in best practice standards for all patients. The practice is in an unbeatable location close to public transport, New Farm Park, the Brisbane River, Fortitude Valley and the CBD.

What you’ll be doing each day
- Leading our wonderful team!
- Delivering personalised, professional and dedicated care to our patients and owners
- Handling and treating all animals
- Regular consults and routine vet surgery
- Using evidence-based diagnoses, therapies and recommended courses of treatment
- Providing follow-up care and education of our pet owners
Qualifications
- Registration with the QLD Vet Surgeons Board or eligibility for veterinary registration in Australia
