Newtown Veterinary Clinic is a privately owned, well-established small animal practice located in Newtown, Geelong. We are proud to provide high-quality veterinary care using Fear Free techniques and a gentle, compassionate approach to treatment and consultations.

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team. This is a part-time position of approx 32 hours per week and working 1 in 3 Saturdays.

As a valued member of our nursing team, your responsibilities include:

• Administering routine treatments and medications
• Assisting veterinarians in consultations
• Providing care to hospitalised and post-operative patients
• Performing routine medical and laboratory tests
• Provide surgical support
• Triage incoming patients
• Reception and phone answering duties
• Upholding high standards of hygiene and cleanliness

Qualifications & Experience

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
• Confidence in routine veterinary procedures
• Strong time management and multitasking skills
• Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
• Established animal handling skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Focus on Fear Free principles and positive pet experiences
• At least 12 months of experience in a small animal clinic
