Vet Nurse/Tech position available at Red Hill Vet Clinic

We are a busy inner-city clinic looking for a nurse/vet tech to fill a permanent position. The clinic is looking for an applicant available to work week days - the position would be suitable for a Vet tech graduate.

The practice is well equipped with a surgical theatre and hospital, Idexx in-house pathology suite, digital radiology including dental x-ray, ultrasound, laparoscopic and orthopaedic set up. Using RxWorks practice management software, our patients are small animals only with a focus on dogs and cats.

The successful applicant will be responsible for sole-charge nursing and would benefit from having previous experience, although this is not necessary. Sole charge will only occur after induction and training at the clinic. We are a tight knit team, so more than anything, we are looking for someone who fits in.

Duties will include handling and restraint of patients, blood collection/IV catheter placement, monitoring hospital patients, administering medications, radiography, using Idexx equipment (catalyst, procyte and sedivue/UA machines), monitoring general anaesthetics, surgical nursing and reception duties.
