Bracken Ridge Veterinary Surgery is looking for a new veterinarian to join the team!

We have been an established vet surgery since 1975 with our vet working here for over 35 years and building a clientele of over 4000 patients. We are a friendly, family-owned business who prioritise patient care and staff well-being. Our clinic was renovated in 2021 adding 2 brand new consult rooms, surgery room and kennel area as well as a spacious reception, staff kitchen and seating area.

We are looking for a permanent vet to join us and we are open to a full time, part time or casual commitment. With 3 nurses already on staff and a very experienced vet, you will be supported and welcomed into your new work environment. We all work hard in ensuring the workday runs efficiently and as smoothly as possible and go above and beyond for each other to ensure all staff feel valid and supported in their daily tasks.

WHAT WE OFFER

• Above award hourly rates
• Two brand new consulting rooms – each with their own laptop and pharmacy
• Separate surgery and scrub room
• Separate kennel room
• IDEXX Haematology and Chemistry machines
• Digital Xray & Handheld Ultrasound
• Small animals only – felines and canines
• Routine surgeries and dentals
• Weekday clinic hours: 8am – 6pm
• Weekday consulting hours: 9am – 11am and 3pm – 5:30pm
• Saturday consulting hours: 9am – 12pm (every 4th Saturday off)
• No after hours or on call work
• No working on public holidays or Sundays
• 15 – 30 minute consults
• Negotiated work hours depending on what suits your schedule and lifestyle

WE WHAT ARE LOOKING FOR

• Permanent Casual,Part or Full time Veterinarian - Northside Brisbane
• Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or an equivalent degree recognised in Australia and registration to practice is Queensland
• Ideally 2-5 years’ experience but open to new graduates
• A friendly and co-operative colleague who can build relationships and understanding with clients and other staff members
• Passionate and caring for all patients and willing to go above and beyond for their treatment
• Familiar with EzyVet software – we can offer training to increase skills if needed
