You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload, including pets, working dogs and livestock (with a significant dairy and beef component). This diversity ensures you remain engaged with interesting cases and a trusting clientele keen for us to follow each job right through. The Role

• We expect high quality mixed practice work, roughly 50-60% companion, 40-50% livestock depending upon capabilities and experience
• Work vehicles are provided with all equipment necessary
• 9-day fortnight average
• On call – one night per week, 11 weekends per year and 11 Saturday mornings per year. 
• 4 Weeks leave per year + 1 week study leave with entitlements
• Salary will reflect experience

Requirements

• Experience in both small and large animal medicine preferred. Enthusiasm highly valued.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with support staff.
• Commitment to continued professional development and learning.
• A compassionate and caring attitude towards animals and their owners.

The local area is abundant with activities and sights to tour. The Great Ocean Road, Otway National Park, Bellarine Peninsula and Surf Coast are all nearby. Some of Australia's best beaches and restaurants are within the region and sporting teams abound. Melbourne is an easy drive if you want to get out of the overalls for a footy match or night out.
