Veterinarian Position – City Beach Vet & Forrestdale Vet, Perth WA

Due to one of our valued veterinarians and their partner returning to Melbourne, we’re seeking a passionate and skilled veterinarian (or veterinarians) to join our team of seven in the coming months.

About Us

We are a privately owned, 7-vet practice operating across two locations in Perth: City Beach Vet and Forrestdale Vet Hospital. The practices are owned and led by two highly experienced veterinarians, each with over 36–40 years in the profession, offering excellent clinical mentorship and support. Our associate vets bring between 4 and 30 years of experience, creating a strong, collaborative, and supportive team culture.

Our case management approach is modern, team-based, and protocol-driven, ensuring consistently high standards of care while encouraging professional growth and input from all team members.

Our Facilities

• City Beach Vet recently relocated (August 2025) to a brand-new, purpose-built facility — a beautiful, spacious environment that both our team and clients are thoroughly enjoying.
• Forrestdale Vet Hospital is also purpose-built, having opened in 2018, and is equally well-equipped and modern.

We are proud of our wonderful staff and loyal clientele. Our case load is varied, with opportunities to develop and pursue areas of special interest. Both clinics are well-equipped, and we’re open to innovation and change.

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome applicants at all stages of their veterinary career. Ideally, you will bring:

• A sound level of competency in both medicine and surgery
• Strong communication skills and rapport-building abilities with clients
• A collaborative mindset and team-oriented approach
• A desire to contribute positively to a harmonious and values-aligned workplace

Position Details

• Employment Type: Permanent
• Hours: 24 to 33 hours per week (flexibility available – more or fewer hours can be considered for the right candidate)
• Schedule:
• Most weeks you will work 3 days (8am–7pm or 9am–6pm)
• One in two Saturdays (8:30am–4pm or 9am–12pm)
• No Sundays or Public Holidays
• No after-hours – all emergencies are referred to local emergency centres
• Consult Length: 30-minute consultations
• Remuneration: Paid hourly including lunch breaks, commensurate with experience and skills
• Work Location: Across both City Beach and Forrestdale clinics
• Ideal Start Date: Before November 2025
