Veterinarian – Full Time or Part Time | Lilydale, VIC

We’re on the lookout for an experienced vet to join our little clinic family here in Lilydale in the Yarra Valley. While we’re ideally after an experienced vet, we’d also love to hear from a confident vet with 2–3 years’ experience who’s adventurous, shows initiative, and is looking to continue their upward career trajectory.

Who We Are

We’re NOT corporate, and we like it that way. It means we have the freedom to do what works best for our patients, their families, and our team. We’re a boutique-style clinic – small enough to care, but big enough to have the gear and skills to work cases up properly, do surgeries, and provide great medicine.

We’re open 8am–7pm Monday to Friday and Saturdays until 2pm (shared on a roster). There’s no afterhours or night shifts – emergencies and walk-ins are handled during the day (that is our excitement cases!), and we transfer to a trusted 24/7 hospital for overnight care and advanced imaging (like CT and myelograms).

Who We’re Hoping to Meet

We’d love someone who’s:

• A friendly, enthusiastic all-rounder who still gets a buzz out of being a vet.
• Keen to keep learning new skills (and happy to share some too).
• Someone who sees colleagues as friends and is ready to be part of a supportive, close-knit team.
• Great with people as well as pets – communication is huge for us, so fluent English is a must. Other soft skills can be trained. We use the Lincoln Institute programme for that.
• We need a “furever” vet. Although a working holiday visa vet was great over the past few years, we need someone who can stay with us for longer.

What You’ll Need

When we say experienced, we mean it. You’ll need to be confident doing a mature bitch spay on your own (with a nurse, of course). You’ll also need to be comfortable with dentals and lumpectomies. If you’re a bit out of practice, that’s okay – we’ll help you get up to speed but we need a solid foundation to build on.

We’re also a clinic that likes to stay curious – whether that’s embracing AI in practice software, talking nutrition, or exploring areas like CBD oil. An open mind will fit in well here.
