We are seeking an excited & motivated veterinarian to join our team.

We’re a close-knit, family-owned small animal π±πΆ clinic in Cairns, and we’re looking for a passionate veterinarian to join our friendly team.
We are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient and client care, while also creating an environment where you can learn, grow, and reach your full potential.
Our team consists of 7 vets and 13 nurses, each bringing their unique background and experiences. We pride ourselves on having a strong, welcoming clinic culture. β¨

WHAT WE CAN OFFER:
• 77 years of experience between employed vets
• A collaborative and supportive work environment with 3-4 vets scheduled each day – you’ll always have great team members by your side! π§π€π§
• Salary ranges between $80,000 - $160,000 with opportunities for pay rises based on performance, upskilling, and ongoing education πΈ
• No on-call shifts – Cairns has a 24/7 emergency clinic for after-hours care, so you can enjoy your time off worry-free π
• The roster is designed to offer a balanced mix with 2 surgery shifts and 2 consulting shifts each day. We do our best to tailor the roster to suit your preferences as much as possible
• A dedicated weekday off and we aren’t open Sundays π
• Saturdays are a shorter day with the clinic closing at 1pm π
• 1 week paid of accrued study leave annually π
• 4 weeks of paid holidays π€© per year (with the opportunity to take more unpaid leave if the roster can support it) π΄
• We are a GOLD accredited ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic with a dedicated cat only waiting area, consult room and hospital ward π±
• A dedicated consult nurse to help keep the day flowing π©Ί
• A dedicated hospital nurse to help care for admitted patients throughout the day π
• A 1-hour paid lunch π₯ break with smaller breaks throughout the day to catch up on labs/hospital cases & call owners βοΈ
• Fun tropical diseases and parasites π¦πͺ±to work up (things your city friends can only dream of!)
• All the fun gear (dental x-rays, a complete in-house lab suite, ortho equipment, full parameter monitoring (including ECG, Coβ, Spoβ & NIBP at each anaesthetic station), x-rays, ultrasound (including a cardiac probe) π§ͺπ₯οΈ
