Who we're looking for
We're offering 12-15 month internships in Medicine, High Dependency Unit (acute & critical patients), Surgery, Anaesthesia & Dentistry. We are looking for people who are keen to pursue specialist training post-internship. Start dates are flexible in 2025, but no later than January 2026.
At Animalius Vet, residency opportunities are most often offered to our interns, providing a natural progression from intern to resident within our team. These roles are often not externally advertised, highlighting the value we place on nurturing our own people.

- Passionate about their chosen discipline (attained/pursuing Membership of the ANZCVS is advantageous)

Hours
- Medicine, Dentistry & Anaesthesia: full-time weekdays
- HDU & Surgery: rotating shifts inclusive of evenings/overnights
- Currently not open weekends and public holidays
What you'll experience
- Dentistry: Support our clinicians, residents & nurses to deliver specialist dental care while gaining exposure to advanced cases.
- HDU: Be part of urgent & critical patient care, working closely with medicine specialists & nurses.
- Anaesthesia: Assist specialist anaesthetists & nurses across all services, with opportunities to run cases under supervision.
- Medicine: Work alongside clinicians & nurses to support patients, clients & referring vets.
- Surgery: Join our surgical team in providing specialist-level care & learn in a hands-on, supportive environment.
