Veterinary Nurse
Dandenong Veterinary Hospital
Job Description
Veterinary Nurse: Embrace Work-Life Balance & Make History with Us! (Full-time preferred/Part-time considered)
Are you an experienced Veterinary Nurse passionate about providing exceptional patient care and thriving in a supportive team? Do you dream of a 4-day working week that truly delivers work-life balance, all while advocating for your patients and growing professionally?
Look no further!
An exciting opportunity awaits you to join our non-corporate, small animal Vet Hospital in Melbourne's vibrant eastern suburbs.
Why You'll Love Being Part of Our Team:
This December, we celebrate an incredible milestone: 100 years of caring for Melbourne's pets! As one of the city's oldest clinics, we blend rich history with cutting-edge patient care, driven by two enthusiastic practice owners committed to optimal standards.
As a Lincoln Institute Employer of Choice, we're committed to excellence in leadership, teamwork, and client/patient care. You'll find a truly supportive and encouraging environment where your skills are valued, and your growth is prioritised.
We offer:
- A Hands-On Role: Utilise your full range of nursing skills, from blood collection and catheter placement to cytology and nurse consultations. We will provide training if you need any upskilling in these areas.
- Unbeatable Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a 4-day work week for full-timers, with no Sundays or Public Holidays. Occasional Saturdays only when absolutely necessary. Part-time options are also available – let's chat about what works for you!
- Continuous Growth: Benefit from weekly team meetings, regular training, and a focus on excelling in client/patient care, leadership, and teamwork.
- Fantastic Perks: Above-award wage (commensurate with experience), staff discounts, and frequent celebratory cakes (because who doesn't love cake?!).
Who We're Looking For:
You're a Certificate IV qualified Veterinary Nurse with a minimum of 2 years' experience, including proficiency in anaesthesia. You're:
- Skilled in safely handling both cats and dogs using fear-free techniques.
- Motivated, responsible, and proactive, with excellent time management.
- Committed to continuous learning and professional development.
If you're ready to rediscover your passion for animal care and make a tangible difference in a clinic that genuinely values its team, then we want to hear from you!
To apply, please send your resume and a cover letter, including at least two references.
